On October 29th, local staff at the US Embassy welcome Ambassador Steve McGann in the traditional ceremony of 'na i qaloqalovi'. Complete with presentation of the 'tabua' (whale's tooth), ' i sevusevu' (presentation of kava) and 'yaqona vakaturaga', the ceremony honoured Ambassador McGann's arrival into Fiji as the Embassy's new Chief of Mission.(Picture Gallery)

Diversity Visa Lottery 2011 Period has Ended

The DV-2011 Diversity Visa Lottery online entry registration period has ended; therefore, registrations cannot be entered now.  The DV-2011 Diversity Visa Lottery entry registration period was between noon, Eastern Daylight Time(EDT) (GMT-4), Friday, October 2, 2009, and noon, Eastern Standard Time(EST) (GMT-5), Monday, November, 30, 2009. The U.S. Embassy is not yet making appointments for visa interviews in Tonga.  Complete instructions for requesting appointments in the pilot program will be provided on the embassy website before the program begins.   Please note that Tongans may continue to make appointments for interviews in Suva.
