Condolences on the Passing of Prince Tu’ipelehake, Princess Kaimana, and Ms. Vinisia Hefa           

            My Government, my Embassy, the American people, and I were deeply saddened to hear of the untimely and tragic deaths of Prince Tu’ipelehake, Princess Kaimana, and Ms. Vinisia Hefa in California.

 

            Prince Tu’ipelehake’s leadership will be missed, including in his role as Chairman of the National Committee of the Kingdom of Tonga on Political Reform that has been consulting with the people of Tonga about peaceful, democratic change.

 

            On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I wish to convey to the people of the Kingdom of Tonga my nation’s heartfelt condolences in this difficult time.
