How to Reach Us

General Inquires

American Citizen Services are conducted from the U.S. Embassy in Suva, Fiji.  The Consular Section does not provide a walk-in information service to the public. The office is open from Monday through Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm, and on Friday 9:00am-12:00pm to only the following individuals:

• Persons requesting American Citizen Services;
• Persons requesting transportation letters.

Occasionally, at least three times a year, a Consular Officer travels to Tonga to provide routine American Citizen Services (i.e. passport application).  Please check with this office and listen to your local media for the dates of the next scheduled trip.

American Citizens

If you are an American Citizen, with an emergency that requires Embassy assistance, please call the Embassy at any time on (679) 331-4466 and the on-call duty officer will be contacted.

Visa Applicants

The Visa section is open for pre-arranged interviews from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Thursday. This section is also open for telephone inquires from 2:00 pm - 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Please call (679) 331-4466 for immigrant visa appointments and information during these times only. For non-immigrant visa appointments please use Nonimmigrant Visa Automated Interview Appointment System.
